Disillusioned divorcée and best-selling romance novelist Jillian Grayson suddenly can't write a chapter without her hunky male heartthrob suffering erectile dysfunction, an STD, or even worse. Brian Nash is great at tennis, but unlucky in love...and also the roommate and best friend of Jillian's son, Rob. When Rob brings Brian home for Spring Break, and Brian meets the surprisingly young and tennis passionate Jillian, their shared interest quickly develops into an intense mutual attraction. Will this unlikely pair give in to their sizzling attraction and become friends with benefits, or will they discover all of it is a really bad idea?

NOTE: Recommended for readers 18+. This book contains explicit language, sexual content, slightly inappropriate humor and is recommended for mature audiences who like that sort of thing. This book is also a less explicit version of Ian Dalton's novel Inappropriate Thoughts.

I hate to give this book a harsh critique, but there is so much missing from the plot, the characters, the dialogue, etc. Let me cut straight to the chase: the characters were incredibly underdeveloped. The main character was supposed to be an older woman, but seemed really immature for her age. Her friend, meanwhile, was practically written as some kind of porn star. In fact, this entire book sounded like it was written for a porno. The characters weren't given many traits at all, except that they were super interested in sex. (Not to mention that sexual assault occurs in one scene and is completely brushed off by the characters! It's not okay to remove someone's clothing while they're sleeping!) Nothing really happened throughout the story; it dragged on for me, and the plot didn't hold as much interesting material as I hoped. The writing was really choppy (especially in the love scene), making me wonder if this book even had an editor. The dialogue was just too underdeveloped for me as well, and didn't capture my attention. The author was clearly trying to create a romantic arc in the story but it just fell through. As I said, I don't like to give harsh critiques. In fact, I hate it. But this book was not good. Needs more character development, improved dialogue, a more realistic plot line, etc.

I'm a sucker for a good romantic comedy. It's become my favorite new genre of book. I loved this book, I was laughing from pretty much the very beginning. Can't wait to dig into the 2nd one. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who needs a good laugh and some romance too!

Download this book because I have grown tired of reading the same old romance stories. While this book was in fact different it was just totally not my thing. You can definitely tell this author is a man. The story was pretty unrealistic with minimal character development. To each their own I suppose......

Stopped reading when Mrs. Robinson was sexually assaulting a man/boy half her age. Just a bit of advise- if someone is sleeping it is not okay to remove clothing to see them naked. Doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman. IT IS WRONG!!!

Did I read a different book than the ones who are giving this book 4 or more stars? Seriously I thought it wasn't that great. But then again we are all allowed to have different opinions. But if asked I'd say don't waste your money.
  • Love the book

Funny, sexy, sweet, yummy...the only reason for a missing star is because I cant find the rest on ITunes...so really its 5 stars for the book... I will adjust.

maybe not for the sexually prurient, but the characters were alive, dialogue was authentic and true and I couldn't put it away.
